BEWARE, TEST SPIRITS, STAY ALERT!

"Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world."

We live in a world that is not our home. Satan actively pursues the destruction of the kingdom of God and looks for lost children of God to involve in his assignments. Our job on this earth as children of God is to establish the kingdom of God, and bear witness to who Jesus is. One way the enemy lies in deviating the minds of children of God is through false teachers, prophets and men and women of God who say Jesus, Jesus, but behind closed doors are vicious wolves.

The word of God is a spiritual manual for all believers - a lamp to guide our feet. It is our duty as children of God to know the word so we can protect ourselves from these vicious wolves and deceivers in the church. You will not find them in the world. Their interest lies in taking over the kingdom of God, which is why they are mixed among the church. They hold positions of leadership. They appear as concerned hearts. Their assignment is to destroy you, steal your glory, and kill you from the face of the earth before you get to live your purpose.

The one thing they are afraid of is YOU (child of God). Your awareness of your true identity terrifies them, as it may lead to their exposure. They will come after you. They will attempt to tarnish your image, try to put you down, lock your destiny and keep you from moving towards your destination. But do not be afraid. You carry a power that is greater than what is in the world.

“Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who do my Father’s will in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name, cast out demons, and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws." Matthew 7:21-23 NLT.

Any prophet, man or woman of God who scans your life and uses you as a topic of gossip is not a genuine servant of God. A minister that is vengeful, greedy, and lies is not operating under the unction of the Holy Spirit. Access, test spirits and allow the Holy Spirit to reveal to you those you surround yourself with. A loyal servant of God who asks you to borrow an enormous sum of money to give to them before they give a divine direction is not being genuine in their service to God.

"In their greed they will make up clever lies to get hold of your money. But God condemned them long ago, and their destruction will not be delayed. For God did not spare even the angels who sinned. He threw them into hell, in gloomy pits of darkness, where they are being held until the day of judgment." (2 Peter 2:3-4 NLT).

Child of God, any prophet, man or woman of God who ask you if you're on your "time of month" before they will pray for you, or a divine direction can be effective, allow the spirit of God to help you access that person thoroughly, and the directions they give you. We live under grace through faith in Christ, not by the old laws. Refuse to be deceived. Assess Spiritual leaders by their fruit.  Do they love your money more than they love you or the church? Access that person and allow God to speak to you concerning who they really are.

Test spirits! You shall know them by their fruits. Do not allow the love you have for them to blind you from what God is showing you. Ask for discernment, stand your ground. “Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. Wolves in sheep’s clothing exist in the church. Be on the lookout. “Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are vicious wolves. You can identify them by their fruit, that is, how they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit." Matthew 7:15-17 NLT

By their fruit you will know them. How is their attitude? With discernment, you will see the face behind the mask. Ask God to give you the spiritual gifts that will help you know them behind their acts. How is their teaching of the word? Are they just good at quoting verses from the top of their mind or they teach the true gospel of Christ? Do they care about their flock? How is their attitude towards you when you go to them with your issues? Do they copy and paste answers from google or do they find time to speak to you genuinely and guide you? What do they listen to? Are they prophets who listen to worldly music and prides in the things of the world when no one is watching? Do they put up a holy act only when people are watching?

The spirit of God never lies. The mistakes most people make is mock the spirit of God. They have no fear of God. They attract curses unto themselves by calling the spirit of God a liar. “So I tell you, every sin and blasphemy can be forgiven—except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which will never be forgiven." Matthew 12:31 NLT.

We must ask ourselves, " what really is the point of gaining the whole world and losing our souls?" Mark 8: 34-38.
